The musical instrument market in Azerbaijan is developing rapidly, and making the right choice is becoming increasingly difficult. With over 25 years of experience, we at Royal store answer the questions our customers ask most frequently.
The Most Common Mistakes When Choosing a Musical Instrument:
1. Focusing only on price and overlooking quality A cheap, low-quality instrument breaks down quickly, has poor sound quality, and ultimately, repair costs far exceed the initial savings. A quality instrument, however, serves for years and retains its value.
2. Trusting online photos and descriptions blindly A musical instrument is a personal choice. Every guitar and every piano has its own character, timbre, and ergonomics. You must hold the instrument, play it, and feel it.
3. Blindly believing in a brand or popularity A famous brand does not always mean it is right for you. Every musician has their own style, hand structure, and taste in sound. Professional advice is essential.
4. Ignoring accessories and technical maintenance Buying an instrument is only the beginning. Strings, straps, cables, amplifiers, repairs, and technical service are all part of a long-term investment.
Guitar selection
Browse the country's largest guitar sales catalog → Our Catalog
The most extensive guitar catalog in Azerbaijan - featuring 500+ products - is right here at Royal Musical Instruments. This is because we are the official partners of world-leading brands such as Fender, Ibanez, Cort, Valencia, Washburn, Jackson, Gibson, Solar and many more.
Recommendations for beginners:
Classical guitar - Gentle on fingers due to nylon strings, and the learning process is comfortable thanks to the wide neck. An ideal start for children, teenagers, and classical music lovers. The best choice for Flamenco, bossa nova, and classical repertoire. Our store offers Original Classical guitars from brands like Cort, Valencia, Washburn, Qte, and Ibanez.
Acoustic guitar - Metal strings provide a bright, rich, and projected sound. It is a fundamental instrument for pop, rock, country, folk, and modern music. It requires stronger finger muscles but stands out for its volume and versatility. Our store offers Original Acoustic guitars from brands like Fender, Cort, Bromo, Washburn, Qte, and Ibanez.
Electric guitar - Small body and infinite possibilities for effects. Indispensable for rock, metal, jazz, blues, and modern styles. Used together with amplifiers and effect pedals. Our store offers Original Electric guitars from brands like Gibson, Fender, Epiphone, Ibanez, Cort, Jackson, Squier, and Solar.
For intermediate and professional levels:
Wood type and construction - Solid wood is richer, more durable, and sounds better as it ages compared to laminate. Sitka spruce, cedar, mahogany, rosewood - each has its own sound character.
Electronics and pickup systems - Piezo, magnetic, or hybrid pickup systems are essential for stage performance. Preamp quality ensures the naturalness of the sound.
Setup and technical parameters - Neck action (string height), intonation (pitch accuracy), fret quality, and neck shape directly affect playability.
