ANT. PETROF — A premium line dedicated to the legacy of Antonín Petrof

The ANT. PETROF brand was created in honor of the company's founder, Antonín Petrof, on the occasion of PETROF’s 150th anniversary. The grand pianos in this series combine the handiwork of the most experienced craftsmen, selected European materials, and patented design solutions formed through a long development process. The goal is to present PETROF’s romantic, round tone with greater projection, a broader color palette, and precise mechanical response.

Diaphragmatic resonance spruce soundboard

The solid resonance spruce soundboard, with an active area of 1.385 m², is CNC-shaped to a diaphragmatic profile ranging from 9.5 to 6.5 mm in thickness. 16 asymmetrical ribs balance the elasticity in different zones of the soundboard. This structure creates a clear fundamental tone in the bass, rich color in the middle register, and long sustain in the treble.

Premium construction and string system

The sand-cast iron frame, high-density pinblock, solid maple bridges, and selected inner rim materials keep string tension stable. Röslau steel strings and Degen copper windings, gold-plated copper agraffes, and a front-rear duplex system refine harmonic richness and transitions between registers. The Canadian hard-rock maple pinblock, 50 mm beech inner rim, and four longitudinal plus one cross-laminated beams reinforce structural stability.

Renner action and individual voicing

Renner action and Renner hammer heads are adjusted for rapid repetition, delicate dynamics, and reliable control. Spruce keys are individually balanced; touch weight is naturally graded from bass to treble. Ebony black keys, and unacorda, sostenuto, and sustain pedals meet all the expressive requirements of professional repertoire.
