Pirastro Cellisto Cello Rosin

Pirastro Cellisto (Cello) Rosin

A specially formulated rosin developed with the needs of cellists in mind. Since cello strings are thicker than violin strings, this rosin has a distinct composition.

• Purpose: Intended exclusively for cello.

• Sound Characteristics: Produces a powerful and immediate response in the instrument's lower notes (thicker strings). It prevents the sound from becoming muffled and enhances resonance.

• Grip Level: Has a high level of grip. It ensures the bow can set the thick strings into motion without difficulty.

• For Whom: An essential choice for all cellists, whether performing in orchestras or as soloists.

Usage and benefits

• Replacing worn-out strings contributes to intonation and tuning stability.
• String thickness and tension change the feel under the fingers and the character of the sound.
• After installing new strings, they should be retuned several times to allow them to settle.

Who is it suitable for?

Suitable for students and professional performers who want to maintain the sound and playability of their instrument.

Selection note

Compatibility with the instrument type, size, scale length, tuning, and required string gauge should be verified.
