Kawai AnyTime ATX4 is a hybrid system for compatible Kawai acoustic upright and grand pianos that allows for both traditional acoustic performance and a silent digital mode where the hammers do not strike the strings. The performer can practice with headphones at any time of the day and then use the instrument as a regular acoustic piano.

Natural action, contactless measurement

IHSS optical sensors accurately record key and hammer movement without interfering with the mechanical touch. In grand piano configurations, the GP Touch Muting system is designed to preserve the natural response of the key while separating the hammers from the strings. In acoustic mode, the instrument's own strings and soundboard operate; in silent mode, the digital sound is transmitted to the headphones.

SK-EX Rendering and HI-XL

SK-EX Rendering technology combines concert grand piano sampling with resonance modeling. The HI-XL engine offers a maximum of 256-note polyphony and 90 sounds, including piano timbres, electric piano, organ, strings, and other instrument selections.
