Kawai ES520 offers a real hammer mechanism, 88-key sampling, and a powerful internal sound system in a lightweight portable body. The 14.5 kg weight allows for easy transport between home, lessons, practice, and the stage.
Responsive Hammer Compact II
The 88-key RHCII mechanism creates control close to an acoustic piano performance with graded hammer action, triple sensors, and a matte key surface. Heavier resistance in the lower register and lighter in the upper register supports the proper development of finger technique.
Progressive Harmonic Imaging
The PHI engine uses individual stereo sampling across all 88 keys. The core sounds, taken from Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and Kawai EX concert grands, provide natural dynamic transitions and clear resonance with 192-note polyphony.
Audio system developed with Onkyo
The speaker system with a total power of 40 W provides a wide and balanced sound for a portable instrument. Bluetooth Audio/MIDI and USB connections make it easy to work with learning apps, backing tracks, computers, and mobile devices.
