Kawai MP7SE combines a realistic hammer action keyboard, a vast sound bank, an effects processor, and four-zone MIDI control in a portable stage format. It is a flexible professional instrument for live performance, studio, practice, and complex keyboard setups.

Responsive Hammer III mechanism

The 88-key RHIII mechanism emulates the feel of an acoustic piano with graded hammers, triple sensors, let-off simulation, Ivory Touch surface, and counterweights across the register. The mechanism provides precise response in both soft dynamics and fast passages.

HI-XL sound engine

The sounds of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, SK-5, and Kawai EX concert grands are delivered via Harmonic Imaging XL technology. With 256-note polyphony, 256 internal sounds, and 129 effects, it allows for detailed configuration of piano, electric piano, organ, and ensemble programs.

Stage and MIDI control

Four independent zones control internal sound sections and external MIDI devices. Numerous real-time knobs, balanced level outputs, and extensive connectivity provide fast control during performance with minimal menu navigation.
