In the Discovery Line, the PETROF P 121 MD Spring offers bass depth appropriate for its height, a singing middle register, and a clear treble.

Resonant spruce soundboard

The resonant spruce soundboard, with an active area of 1.0605 m², is reinforced with 9 ribs. The soundboard profile is engineered to convert string vibrations into a wide dynamic range and balanced register transitions. The wet-sand-cast iron plate, multi-layered pinblock, and maple bridges maintain string tension to support tuning stability.

Action and keyboard

The PETROF upright action and individually voiced hammer heads ensure fast and precise touch response. The 88 keys create a natural feeling of resistance from bass to treble. The left piano pedal softens the tone, the middle moderator pedal reduces volume for silent practice, and the right forte pedal lifts the dampers to release resonance.
